How PHYSIOGEL® works

Irritated skin needs more than care:
PHYSIOGEL® A.I. Cream:

  • With the physiological protection complex "ENA" = naturally protects with the body's own substances
  • Neutralises free radicals
  • Reduces itching
  • Reduces skin irritation and redness

Samples are available in your pharmacy or you can order here.

The skin is the largest organ in the human body and is continually confronted with environmental and other stresses (frequent showering and/or hand-washing, harsh washing products or care products). The natural moisture balance of the skin is brought out of balance and the skin becomes more and more dry and sensitive. The top layer of the skin (epidermis) is responsible for the regulation of this balance. It represents the protection against the environment. the protective function is at risk when this layer of the skin is damaged.

Free Radicals

Free radicals are part of particular immune cells are help in the defense against bacteria and viruses. A surplus of free radicals, however, damages cells and can bring about premature aging of the skin.

Therefore humans have developed a skin protection system, in particular to keep aggressive oxygen radicals under control. Normally a natural balance exists between free radicals and the mechanism which inhibtis their dispersion throughout the skin.

This counterbalance is an important prerequisite for keeping the skin healthy, as protection against premature aging of the skin, infections, skin redness, itching and even skin diseases.

If the protection systems of the skin are not able to deal with the surplus of free radicals in the skin, appropriate protective systems can be applied to the skin to inhibit damage.

Active substance called ENA

ENA (essential N-Acylethanolamine) is an active substance within the body itself which has dual pharmacological functions:

  • ENA acts antioxidatively and catches free radicals
  • ENA stabilises and protects the very sensitve cell membrane

Because of continually increasing environmental stresses, like UV-radiation for example, the skin’s own ENA production may not be adequate. Premature aging and skin irritation can result.

PHYSIOGEL® A.I. Cream contains the skin’s own active substance ENA and helps the skin to balance the inadequate supply of ENA. ENA can protect the skin from the damage from free radicals, negative environmental influences and prevents premature aging of the skin.

Through Derma-Membrane-Structure (DMS) in A.I. Cream, which is similar to the skin’s own structure, the active substance ENA is transported into the deeper layers of the epidermis where it provides its protective function.

Free radicals, which are partly responsible for damaging the skin, are caught. The skin lipid barrier, significant for the protection of the skin, can be stabilised and the skin’s regeneration is promoted.

Available in 50 ml package.

Free Radicals
attack the skin.

When the natural protective mechanism is no longer effective...

the skin needs help.

PHYSIOGEL® A. I. Cream gives the skin the physiological protection it needs and with DMS it strengthens the lipid barrier.
